The 1099-NEC is a form specifically for reporting non-employee compensation (also known as self-employment income) is the income you receive from a payer who classifies you as an independent contractor rather than as an employee.
1099’s will be mailed out before February 1st
- If you have a change of address, please email the old address and the new address to bio@helmsbriscoe.com
- If you do not receive a 1099 by February 15th, please email remittance@helmsbriscoe.com
- Please review your 1099 upon receipt for any questions. Confirm Tax ID, address, and amount. 1099 details are submitted to the IRS March 15th.
TECH NOTE: All domestic HB Associates receive a 1099 for commissions paid to them each year. As a US Company, HB has no obligation for reporting to foreign countries.
